A single seedling perched atop a handmade ceramic form under a glass dome.

The seedling, or achene, is meticulously hand-fabricated from forged, welded and polished stainless steel. The ceramic form was thrown on a wheel, textured then fired in a saggar, which turned the clay a jet black. Both the metal and ceramic forms are made by me. Each ceramic form will be textured and black, but the shape will vary, making each a one-of-a-kind piece.

This is a limited edition of 10, made and sold in conjunction with my new Taos, NM showroom opening in July.
